Bogdan Wilamowski, Prof. Dr. Habil.

Bogdan 'Dan' Wilamowski received his MS in computer engineering in 1966, PhD in neural computing in 1970, and Dr. Habil. in integrated circuit design in 1977. In 1987 he received the title of full professor from the President of Poland. He was the Director of the Institute of Electronics (1979-1981) and the Chair the Solid State Electronics Department (1987-1989) at this University. Since 1989 to 2000 he was with the University of Wyoming, and from 2000 to 2003 worked as EE and CS professor at the University of Idaho in the Boise Graduate Center. Currently he is the Director of Alabama Microelectronics, Science, and Technology Center at Auburn University.
Dr. Wilamowski was with the Nishizawa Laboratory at Tohoku University, Japan (1968-1970) and he spent one year at the Semiconductor Research Institute, Sendai, Japan as a JSPS Fellow (1975-1976). He was a visiting scholar at Auburn University (1981-1982 and 1995-1996), and a visiting professor at the University of Arizona, Tucson (1982-1984).
He is the President Elect of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and the Vice President for Finance of the IEEE Neural Network Council. He is currently associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Education, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and IEEE IES Newsletter. In 1999 he was granted the title of IEEE Fellow.
He is the author of 4 textbooks, more than 250 refereed publications, and 27 patents. He was the major professor for about 120 graduate students. His main areas of interest are: solid-state electronics, mixed signal and analog signal processing, CAD development, VLSI design, network programming, and soft computing.

Janusz Korniak, PhD

Janusz Korniak received his MSc degree in 1997 from Rzeszow University of Technology, Poland. Since 1997 he has been working at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow as teaching and research assistant in the Autonomous Department of Electronics and Telecommunication. He received his PhD degree in telecommunication engineering in 2005 from the University of Technology and Agriculture in Bydgoszcz, Poland. His current research focuses on signal processing and Quality of Services in Wireless LANs.
Since 2000 he has been an instructor of Cisco Networking Academy. He passed his instructor training in Budapest Polytechnic, University of Central England and Advance Technology Consortium – Romania. Currently he is an instructor of the Cisco Academy Training Center at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow.
Janusz Korniak is a member of the Polish Information Processing Society and the secretary of its Branch in Rzeszow.

He received his M.Sc. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering in 2001 from AGH University of Science and Technology. Since 2000 he has been working at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów as a research assistant in the Autonomous Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, preparing his Ph.D. His research interests focus on quality of service and survivability of the next-generation optical transport networks.
He is an instructor of Cisco Networking Academy at UITM and an instructor of ECDL.

ANDRZEJ KOS, full professor, received his Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland in 1983, his D. Sc. (habilitation) also in electronics from the Technical University of Lodz, Poland in 1994, and the title of professor from the president of Poland in 2001. Since 1995 he has been the head of the Group of Microsystems Design at the AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow. Since 2003 he has been the head of the Autonomous Chair of Electronics and Telecommunications at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow He is a member of many international scientific committees, of the Polish Academy of Science and an expert for the European Union. His research interests are in the areas of information technologies systems, microsystems design and thermal issues in microsystems. He has published 2 books and more than 150 articles.
