The International Office was established in January 2007 to concentrate all activity related to the service of international students in one department. International Office (IO) is a part of the organizational structure of the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów, and its direct superior is the Vice-President for International Relations, Prof. Andrzej Szelc.
International Office is also engaged in all issues connected with foreigners studying at the University of Information Technology and Management and most matters related to their very stay in Poland, to make them feel comfortable.
Within the framework of its activity, IO is trying to help the students in all possible ways, helping them in finding casual work, in developing their sports passions, or in accommodation matters.
In cooperation with the Institute for Research on Civilizations, it organizes numerous events, mostly of cultural nature, giving the possibility to get to know other cultures and customs.
The University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów started recruiting international students to English-language paths of study in the beginning of the academic year 2004/2005. Currently, about 300 students from various countries are studying here, including students from Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China and Iran.
Students can choose from among 2 fields of study: Economics, and Information Technology and Econometrics.
IO also remains in direct cooperation with the International Relations Department, which is engaged in the recruitment of international students and the Erasmus – Lifelong Learning Programme.
